How to Appeal a CP Plus Charge in Oxfordshire

When faced with an incorrect parking charge notice from CP Plus in Oxfordshire, residents have two primary avenues of recourse: challenging the charge directly and appealing through the Independent Appeals Service (IAS).

Step 1: Challenge CP Plus Directly

Before escalating the issue, it is advisable to challenge the charge directly with CP Plus. This involves providing evidence that demonstrates why the parking charge was unjustified. Common grounds for appeal include receiving duplicate tickets, being a victim of a ticketing scam, or having been parked in a designated disabled space without intent.

Step 2: Appeal Through IAS

If CP Plus does not resolve your issue through their internal process, you can submit an independent appeal to the Independent Appeals Service (IAS). As a member of the International Parking Community (IPC), CP Plus adheres to the IPC's code of practice. This means that any appeals against their charges are handled by IAS.

You Do Not Need a Claims Management Company

The process of appealing a parking charge notice is straightforward and free for residents of Oxfordshire. There is no need to involve a claims management company or solicitors in this matter. By following the steps outlined above, you can handle your appeal independently without any additional costs.
